22.8 million children aged 5-16 are out of school in Pakistan. Poverty keeps them from literacy, skills, and future earnings. These tools can help end the cycle of deprivation. When many kids miss out on education, it leads to illiteracy and harms economies. It also disrupts societies. Every child deserves equal chances in education, not just those from wealthy families. Girls are particularly prone to dropping out of school due to societal norms and responsibilities at home.
At Al Mustafa USA, we see knowledge as both worship and a way to transform lives. We run 10 primary schools in Lahore and teach over 1,500 students in Pakistan and Bangladesh. This work reflects the teaching that seeking knowledge is an obligation for every Muslim. It is both a spiritual duty and a practical mercy: The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever treads a path in search of knowledge, Allah will make easy for him the path to Paradise" (Hadith, Muslim).
This means that when you sponsor a child's education, you remove obstacles between them and cultivating a vital & inspired learning journey. This is an immense honor, and a great act. Many students in sponsorship programs come from backgrounds of extreme hardship and have a strong desire to learn and succeed.
With your continued support, we have already opened ten primary schools in Lahore alone, helped over 1500 children receive a quality education and assisted in the provision of necessary equipment such as books and uniforms.

However, we believe that children subjected to disasters and emergencies should not have to see their education or their future suffer. That is why Al Mustafa USA ensures that children continue their education in the event of such calamities. By providing Emergency Tent Schools we can help children hold on to the passion and potential that education inspires.
We have established more than 800 tent schools around the globe during disasters and emergencies. During the Pakistan Sindh Flood Disaster, we provided 50 tent schools as well as free books, school stationery, school bags and food.

First, we look for areas where children don't have access to the school, clean water, or healthcare. After that we network with the local leaders, teachers, and families to understand the basic needs of the area.
From there, we start delivering the basics: things like food, education, and a safe place to learn and grow. Students from under-resourced families are more likely to drop out of school due to a lack of support and resources.
To make this whole process transparent we keep our donors in the loop at every stage and every year. We share updates on how their money is being used and the difference it's making in these kids' lives. Sponsorship programs often include personal connections between sponsors and students, enhancing the impact of the support provided.

Through your donations, Al Mustafa will provide every necessity required by a school: uniform, textbooks, transportation, meals, and supplies. So, families pay nothing.
